Enjoy Your Special Day

Welcome by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog again today, everyone!  It's Karen Letchworth here today sharing a cute little birthday card I made using some fun trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I used two patterned papers, some little ephemera pieces, chipboard, stickers, and decorative touches.  Then, I added a lovely bow at the top left using Red & White Plaid Houndstooth Ribbon, Solid Lemonwood Baker's Twine and Solid Blue Baker's Twine.  I placed a Rhinestone Embellishment in the center of my bow.  I also don't want to forget to mention that my card is held together with LOTS of Scor-Tape. It's such an awesome adhesive.
Then, just for fun.....I added a snippet of 3/8" Yellow Gingham Ribbon, Turquoise Gingham Ribbon, and Green Apple Gingham Ribbon to the right side of my card.  All of the ribbons, trims, and embellishments at Really Reasonable Ribbon work together to compliment one another.  This fun card with all its bright colors is no challenge for RRR.....they really do have EVERY color you could possibly need.  Why not check it out for yourself?  You're sure to find the perfect trims and goodies for your next project.
There's also always a fun challenge taking place on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, and we love seeing your ribbony projects, so be sure to stop by and play along.  Thanks so much for visiting, and have a great week!
Thanks again for stopping by.  We hope you'll take time to visit the Really Reasonable Ribbon store to see what's new.

Coming Up Roses Card

Hello ribbon lovers!  I am back again sharing another sweet card using beautiful ribbons and embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbons.
I fell in love with the Silky Crush Rose Ribbon and just had to use this gorgeous ribbon on this card.
I added the White Flat Back Pearls 8mm and glitter glue for a little shimmer.
Hope you enjoyed another fun and easy card.
Wishing you a creative day.

Wishing

{judy} One of my very favorite ribbon styles is the beautiful wrinkled ribbon from May Arts. The RRR Store has so many gorgeous colors. It's so easy to work with and to add embellishments. My card today uses the beautiful White Wrinkled Ribbon:
I watercolored my main panel background using the Wrinkle Free Distress technique (funny, since my ribbon also has wrinkle in the name!), and added a die cut word from Simon Says Stamp. I tied a simple bow with the White ribbon and added some Gold Metallic Baker's Twine for added interest and to match the gold in my background paper.
In the center I added a delicate and spring-y Apple Blossom from the Mixed Assortment. A few sequins for shine and I have a mixture of contemporary and traditional styles. I love how it turned out! All of my layers are held together with 3/8" Scor-Tape.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Adopt a Pet Cat and Dog Tags from Scraps

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  The month of February is filled with celebrations.  There's Groundhog Day, Valentine's Day, President's Day...and  National Adopt a Pet Weekend!  I've created a pair of sweet little tags to honor pet adoption, and I thought I would  share them with you here.

These little art tags were made with bits and pieces I had left over after making some pet themed mini albums with Authentique's Devoted paper collection. Instead of clogging up my drawers with scraps, I've developed the habit of using them to make quick cards.  When the pieces are too small to use even on a card, tags are the answer!

For this sweet little kitty cat tag, I framed the image with a shabby chic bow tied from Light Blue Micro Gingham.  It's the perfect width for smaller projects like this 2.5" x 5" tag.   I ran a double strand of the ribbon through the top of the tag, then tied it with hemp string.

Another great way to use up scraps is to cut banner flags and small doilies that can be used as layering elements on cards and tags.  I've added 5/8" brown plaid ribbon and natural burlap string to this sweet "Who Rescued Who" tag.

I hope I've shared some tips with you here that you'll find useful!

Thanks for stopping by!

Fun Shaker Cards with Bows

Hey friends, Linsey here! Today I'm shaking things up with 2 fun cards featuring pretty ribbons tied in bows! I love shaker cards and I love them even more with ribbon! Everything is better with ribbon, right? Right! Let's see what's shakin'!
I love using 1/8" Diagonal Stripe Ribbon in Black and 1/8" Diagonal Stripe Ribbon in Pink for so many projects. It's easy to tie into bows and just seems to coordinate with everything! These super fun and easy shaker cards sets are new from Jillibean Soup for anyone interested. Here's a closer peek at my bows...
I made a mini double bow with the pink ribbon and a mini triple bow with black ribbon using the ribbon fork bow method.
Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Hope you've enjoyed it and have a great day! Happy crafting!

Altered Rabbit Molds

Hi guys, it's Cherry!  My day here at the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog.  I have some cute Easter ornaments for you today.
I used vintage jello molds that had these rabbits on them.  I painted them with chalk paint and distressed them up for a worn appearance with a sanding block and ink.  After that I sprinkled some white glitter on them.
I stitched up some crepe paper fringe and adhered it to the edges along with some pom pom fringe.
I topped each one off with stamped banners and burlap flowers.
These are perfect for an Easter Tree...or could be used in an Easter basket or on a Spring wreath.
Hope you enjoy!  Hugs, Cherry

Thanks Card

Hello everyone, Cheryl here with this beautiful shabby chic card I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the beautiful Taffeta Ribbon, Sweetheart Blossom flowers, and Pearls from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store! I had so much fun creating this, and love how it turned out. Hope you enjoy my post for today!
The ribbon I used is the blue topaz taffeta ribbon from December's Ribbon Club Assortment.  It's gorgeous.  I'm not sure if photos do this one justice. It can be found here in the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.. I made 2 big bows from the Taffeta ribbon, and added pearls to the centers.

The window was cut with a cream card stock and then I added some branches to the bottom and different colored Sweetheart Blossoms

The design paper is from Bazzill.
Thank you for looking and have a lovely day!!

hugs to all,
Cheryl

Nature Sketchbook Butterfly Greeting Card

Hey there Peeps!  Just dropping in today to share a project I created with gorgeous RRR trims and my new favorite collection Nature Sketchbook from Graphic 45.

I've had a love for the chevron ribbon ever since I got my very first package from RRR. I mean...it goes with everything!!! The Turquoise here matches the flowers perfectly.

I'm using the Turquoise Chevron Striped Twill and Natural Burlap String for this card along with some fun embellishments and large dimensional flowers.

Okay that's all for me. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Sweet Paper Mache House

Hello friends of Really Reasonable Ribbon!  It's me, Karen Letchworth, sharing today's post with this sweet little paper mache house that I painted with cream paint, covered in vintage sheet music, glitter-covered vintage buttons, and several FABULOUS products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The first trim I added was the sweet Debra Natural Crochet Lace that I ran all the way around the top of the house base and also at the top of the door frame.  I also added some Pink Trellis Roses to the peaks of the roof from the Trellis Roses Mixed Pinks Collection.
All along the path outside this sweet little house as well around the window, I hot glued more glittered buttons, a few Silver Rhinestones (out of stock), some 11mm White Heart-Shaped Flatback Imitation Pearl Beads, and several pink, ivory and blue Miniature Sweetheart Blossoms.  They all look so sweet along the garden path.
On the side of the roof, I added a big bow using lengths of both Cream Seam BindingPink Aster Seam Binding and Solid Natural Baker's Twine.  There's just something SO soft and lovely about Seam Binding bows, and Really Reasonable Ribbon offers you 43 colors at just $1.50 for a 5-yard length.  You will never regret buying Really Reasonable Ribbon's Seam Binding....it's GORGEOUS!!
I love how easy it was to decorate my paper mache house using simple supplies to cover it, and then decorating it with my Really Reasonable Ribbon trims, flowers, and Embellishments.  I love how it turned out, and I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have.  Thanks for stopping by to take a look.
Don't forget about the FUN CHALLENGE taking place now on the RRR Blog.  We love having you play along with us.  Really Reasonable Ribbon wants to be your number once source for all ribbons, trims and more.  You can view ALL the fabulous products available here at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
We're so grateful for your visit.  We hope you will take time to do some shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon to see what you might want to help you create something special.  They have it ALL!
Have a blessed week,
Karen

Celebrating Ba-BEES!

{judy} Happy Weekend Ribbon Lovers! Have you seen our new Challenge? It's all about Celebrations. Today I am celebrating the birth of a new niece last week with a non-traditional ba-bee (baby) card - submitted as my sample for our Challenge!
I stamped five bees in a row on Heavyweight White CS (Hobby Lobby), using the two-step stamping technique. I stamped the gold bodies first, then the overlay of black detail and wings. I used a stencil and lightly (and randomly) sponged over the bees in different directions with a brighter yellow ink. The fifth bee I cut out using the matching die (Dragonfly Dreams from Stampin' Up!) and layered it on my second bee above. You can see a little shadow underneath from being popped up using 3D Foam Tabs.

I adhered all my panels using Scor-Tape (I like the 1/4" and 3/8") and then stamped my sentiment. It is three separate words from a stamp set by The Alley Way Stamps. I love the play on words with "bee." I then wrapped my Metallic Gold Baker's Twine several times around the left side (this card opens like a book), added a heart charm (that matches the bees' gold), and tied a simple bow.

And it's ready to mail to Kate Elizabeth!

Be sure to join in our Challenge and play along. It's so fun to see what everyone makes, and what wonderful ideas you all have!

The theme for Challenge #158 is Celebrate.  Show us a project for any celebratory event - birthday, wedding, new baby, etc.

PLEASE consider turning off your word verification.
It would be a great help to us if you would consider turning off your word verification if it's active on your blog. To do this is really easy and all you need to do is go to Customize > Settings > Comments > then scroll down to where it says comment moderation and select always (this won't stop anybody leaving you a comment but they won't show on your blog until you approve them). Then scroll down to show word verification for comments? and select No.
We love to visit your blogs and leave comments on all the terrific entries, but the word verification really slows us down. :o)

Deep Purple Midnight Masquerade Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  How do you feel about purple?  It's not a color that I have used a lot in the past, but I've been using it lately because Graphic 45's new Midnight Masquerade collection plays so well with purple.  Take a look at the vibrant colors used in this card.

This bow tied with 7/8" Purple Organza Ribbon and Gold Metallic String makes me fall in love with deep purple.  How about you?

I don't know if you can pick it up in these photos, but I tapped the ribbon with tiny bits of Stardust Stickles after tying the bow.  This left a little sparkle behind and I love the way it looks.

Here's a peek at the pair of pockets on the inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Purple rules!
